The Junge Nationalisten (Eng.: Young Nationalists) is the largest nationalist youth organisation in Germany, acting in accordance to three core organisational values – education, activism and community. In addition to fostering a sense of fellowship within local branches, the JN also hold an annual event called Community Day.
Just recently – and despite the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting usual public events nationwide – Community Day was once again held by JN. Members from all over Germany came together to exchange ideas and broaden their intellectual horizon during lectures and training courses held by the Federal Working Group on Education. The event was planned in order to ensure that the young men and women in attendance would gain useful skills that they could then take away with them and integrate into their everyday lives. In a disciplined, yet relaxed, atmosphere, the sense of community that the event places at the forefront of its aims not only continues to be consolidated, but also further strengthened.
Donate: It is the generosity of our supporters and members that makes our vital work possible. As the storm clouds of crisis and the pain of injustice and persecution loom over our people, the potential and importance of our work grows day-by-day. Whether it be organising conferences, keeping abreast of the very latest campaigning techniques, producing videos, publishing, training the leaders of tomorrow or advising and helping young nationalist movements, it all costs money. There is no George Soros figure out there for nationalists, so we can only do what good people like you help us to do. Thank you for your faith and your generous commitment. Make a Donation!
An especially notable part of the Community Day event was the members’ embarking on a hike through the local countryside. Intended to refresh the revolutionary spirit by allowing members to experience the surrounding beauty of the nature and landscape of Germany, the hike also provided the participants marching side-by-side to become better acquainted with one another.
Since no organisation – much like a family – can remain stable without offspring to continue its legacy, this Community Day ended with a traditional torch-lit admission ceremony, where new candidates were officially initiated into the JN community, after having proven themselves over a certain period of time in the principles of comradery and ideology.
This part of Community Day is often one of the most impressive parts of the entire event, which ends with the singing of the German national anthem. Following the initiation ceremony, the attendants gathered around a campfire to conclude Community Day with a recital of songs, before commencing their journeys home the following day.
